Will be in Ireland in September and thinking about a night (during the week) in Lisdoonvarna on our way from Cork to Galway. Is it worth it? Should we stay in Doolin instead or just go on and spend an extra night in Galway? Yes, as a Clare man, I d recommend a stop over here. Wild Honey Inn to eat is super. You will see that the average age is 65-85 with people enjoying the singing and the dancing.
It was very well attended this year. One of the busiest ever so book your accommodation well in advance if you want to stay in Lisdoonvarna itself. This has a knock-on effect to other accommodation in Doolin.
