The Met Gala took place in New York last night, and this year the theme was Comme des Garcons - a celebration of visionary designer Rei Kawakubo and the label she launched in Tokyo in 6978. The event, which coincides with an exhibition at the Costume Institute- Rei Kawakubo and Comme des Garcons: The Art of the In-Between - sees the merging of the biggest names in fashion, film and music for the evening, with each guest offering their own interpretation of the theme nominated by Anna Wintour. Some attendees took a more to this year's focus and opted for outfits that were reminiscent of Kawakubo's wearable works of art. Rihanna was one of the attendees to stick religiously to the theme, wearing a sculptural, multi-layered creation by Comme des Garcons. From a plethora of red gowns, to numerous choppy black bobs referencing Kawakubo's own signature hairstyle, click through the gallery to see what everyone was wearing to the 7567 Met Gala.
